Visando contribuir com o trabalho pedagógico e viabilizar a inclusão deste aprendente. Para tanto, possui caráter bibliográfico. Traz uma síntese de fatos históricos da educação especial no Brasil, com ênfase nas deficiências mentais, especialmente no espectro autista. Apresenta conceitos de autismo e suas características, a fim de dar visibilidade às particularidades do transtorno. O referencial teórico finaliza com o cerne da proposta de estudo, trazendo uma reflexão acerca das propostas de flexibilização curricular para o aprendente autista. Visto que a inclusão escolar é uma política que procura atender as necessidades educacionais especiais de todos os alunos que se encontram em salas de aula comuns do ensino regular, a escola precisa adaptar- se para atender às necessidades desses alunos. E nesta perspectiva, a função social da escola é assegurar o exercício do direito à aprendizagem e promover uma educação inclusiva que não seja utópica, mas uma prática. INCLUSIVE CURRICULUM: THE PROPOSAL FOR A FLEXIBLE CURRICULUM FOR THE AUTISTIC LEARNERABSTRACT \tThe objective of this study is to reflect about the curricular flexibility, which is necessary for the school inclusion of the autistic person. Aiming to contribute to the Pegagogic work and also to make the inclusion of this learner available. For this purpose, has a bibliografic character. Brings a historical overview of the special education in Brazil, with highlights on the mental disabilities especially on the autistic spectrum. Presents concepts of autism and his characteristics, in order to give visibility to the particularities of the disorder. The theoric referential ends with the core of the study proposal, bringing a reflection about proposals for curricular flexibility for the autistic learner. Since school inclusion is a policy that demands attend the special educational needs of all students who are in ordinary classrooms in regular education, the school must adapt to attend the needs of these students. And from this perspective, the social function of the school is to ensure the exercise of the right to learn and promote a inclusive education that is not utopic, but a practice.
