In this sense, its objective is the preliminary analysis of the Frei Damião neighborhood in the city of Pau dos Ferros, Rio Grande do Norte, regarding the landscape of fear, since urban violence has been significantly altering the architecture of cities as a reflection of the fear suffered by the population. Based on this assumption, the methodology was carried out using the quantitative method, in addition to on-site field research, analyzing everything from urban infrastructure to the facades of buildings, all the elements that contribute to the dissemination of the architecture of fear and all the bibliographic references used throughout the basis of the article. In short, it is clear that despite not being fully introduced into the neighborhood, this scenario is no longer a distant reality in the city, as it manifests itself even unconsciously, making it necessary to search for possible means of protection, which aim to prevent future consequences."
