BICYCLING AS CONTEXTUALIZED RESEARCH STRATEGY. REFLECTIONS ON THE PROFESSIONAL FORMATION OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATOR

    "resumo" => "The daily use bicycling stimulated by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations (UN) is a theoretical-practical counterpoint to the higher courses of Physical Education in the Latin American territory due to the importance thematic. The objective this essay is to understand social phenomenon bicycling located in an integrative research strategy in the field of Physical Education. Bearing in mind scientific activity is permeated by the ideals of "impartiality", "neutrality", "comprehensiveness" and "autonomy", we affirm that vast majority of research "cycling" in the area of ​​knowledge of Physical Education is colonized by hegemony biomedical having control over the human body as the main cognitive value. In that sense, we ask: Could urban cycling as part of the curriculum mesh, offer social values ​​of citizenship for the training of the physical educator? Based on the phenomenological method, we sustain, based on the model "Science and Values ​​(M-CV)" and the concept of "governmentality", to deepen  critical discussion in the academic environment about active mobility by bicycle contextualized mainly in the interdisciplinary nature of Schools "Health Sciences" and "Humanities" (CAPES) from the following aspects: a) the existential condition "risk - security" of the cyclist subject; b) the promotion of biculture in institutional policy by the cyclo-activist movement; c) targeted urban planning for motorized transport and its consequences for work with active mobility; d) organization of public policy management for recreational cycle paths; e) educational processes with bicycles in school environments. I believe that, the complexity of the social phenomenon of urban cycling should be considered as an integrative research strategy in the professional training of the physical educator with compulsory subjects in the curriculum related to educational processes of the use of bicycles on public roads that, by organizing equitably the space of public roads, generate benefits for environmental health."
